Welcome to ASMITA Acharyia School of Moving Image Technology and Arts The Achariya School of Moving Image Technology and Arts (ASMITA) has been established in Chennai to provide globally focussed education and training in cinematic arts and technology to Indian and international students. Facilities ASMITA houses state-of-the-art facilities to give students access to the latest technology in cinematography. These include: Two purpose-built studios for film and television – an Artificial Light Studio and a one-of-its-kind Daylight Studio, where students will learn to work and articulate natural light in an daylight studio setting; A range of high-end digital cinematography cameras like Red and Alexa along with basic DSLRs; Light and Grip equipment such as the ARRI Daylight HMI, Kinoflo, Tungsten, Led Banks, C stands, MOVI M15 Gimbals, reflector boards, track and trolley, and mini crane among others; Digital editing suites for postproduction with AVID and FinalCut Pro, and colour grading platforms with Da Vinci Resolve and other grading software; A screening theatre with seating for 40 people.
