A platform to those who can serve tears, both of Joy and of Laughter, spiced up with a pinch of antagonism and loads of untold emotions, with utmost honesty in one single plate. Here,we present to you EPICtures-2020, the exemplary short-film event conducted as a part of ANOKHA-2020,a three day technical festival of Amrita University, Coimbatore. Inviting everyone with dreams in their eyes and script in their hands. Cause, the distance from your Dreams to Reality is now the same as that of your Script to the Screen.
Prizes will be awarded to winners in each of the categories listed below. First-place - 10000 INR Second-place - 7000 INR Third-place - 5000 INR Apart from the top 3 prizes, there will be special awards for Best Director, Best Editor, Best D.O.P, Best Music Director, Best Actor. There will be an Audience choice award with a live poll inside the Amriteshwari Hall on the day of the event (POLL will span for 3 days.13,14,15th of Feb)
• All submissions are allowed a minimum duration of 3 mins and a maximum of 20mins – exclusive of the end credits. • Films may be in any language or have no dialogue at all. Audio must have English Subtitles. • Each team should submit a 30sec teaser of your short film, that is to be upload in SHORTFUNDLY website (gift and promotion sponsor of EPICtures) for polling. • Submissions must not contain any obscene or pornographic material, it must not contain any libel statements about any person, company, organisation or entity. • Teams may use a digital camera or any other type of video or film camera that produce good quality of visuals (higher than 480p resolution). The microphone used may be an integrated part of the camera or an external one. • It is required that your submissions and any of that footage used is original and purely, yours. In case of any copyright content, you must provide written permission of its use when required. Entries containing any unauthorized content will be disqualified. Plagiarism is strictly restricted. • The final video must be uploaded on YouTube (private link) in High-Definition. • Each Team must submit all necessary signed agreements/documents. These documents will be sent prior to the entrant via e-mail after completion of registration for the competition.
