Ragam, the annual cultural festival of NITC, ranks among the topmost in the country and remains to be nothing less than one of the biggest crowd-puller in south India. Ragam stands as a platform for TakeOne Short Film Competition, a prestigious event for passionate filmmakers and one of the largest of it’s kind, in terms of entries received prizes offered and the esteemed panel of Judges. At Ragam 2017, scheduled to be conducted on March 24-26, we intend to take TakeOne to a higher level by organizing film exhibitions, interactive sessions with prominent personalities in the film industry and screening of selected films featured in international film festivals. TakeOne has had the honour of inviting Bobby Sanjay, Anil Radhakrishna Menon, Rajesh Pillai, Madhupal, Prathapothan, Arun Kumar Aravind in previous editions of the competition as guests and judges. This Year we have esteemed panel of Judges comprising of Cine Actor,Director and Script writer Mr. Shankar Ramakrishnan , Critically Acclaimed and Award winning Actress Mrs. Sajitha Madathil and noted director of 'Ennu Ninte Moideen' Mr. R.S. Vimal Take One takes place from March 24 to 26 during Ragam 2017 with cash prizes worth 50K. The entries are to be sent by 29th of February. Rules & Terms

TakeOne is an open-event. Entries are invited from all. The entries have to be original. Content copied from any external source shall lead to direct disqualification. Albeit music or bgm can be taken from other sources provided they are accredited properly. 3. The entry must be the one which was made within 18 months of the final submission date. 4. There is no subject/theme for the competition in particular. 5. The Film cannot exceed a total of 30 minutes running time, not including the title card and credits. 6. Entries may be in any language, but suitable on-screen English subtitlesnmust be furnished for languages other than Malayalam. 7. Only select entries screened by the jury will be displayed during the festival and the screening will be solely on the discretion of the jury. 8. Physical presence of the Applicant is not mandatory during festival. 9. All Films must be submitted to us in a single DVD (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL), encoded in industry-standard video formats viz. AVI, VOB, MP4, MKV, WMV, MOV or MPEG. Entries that are of unrecognized video formats shall not be considered.
