Advantage India’ the short film contest organized by Pocket Films in association with River to River Florence Indian Film Festival, Italy is back in its 10th edition this year. The contest has grown year on year in terms of the number of entries as well as the quality of the participating films. We are proud of the fact that most of the winning filmmakers of our contests have now progressed into bigger things in life and a step closer to achieving their dreams, thus, helping us achieve the primary objective of organizing such contests i.e. the growth of our participating film makers. Every year through Advantage India, our attempt is to identify and give global visibility to talented film makers. It opens the doors for the 3 winning films to reach out to audiences and other festivals in Europe through screening at River to River. Through such contests, especially in association with respected International Film Festivals, Pocket Films provides a fantastic platform for filmmakers to show case their talent not only domestically but worldwide. River to River is the only festival in Italy totally devoted to films from and about India. This year will be its 17th edition, starting from 7th to 12th December 2017 in Florence, Italy. under the direction of Selvaggia Velo and the Patronage of the Embassy of India. This is a skill based contest and no purchase or payment of any kind is required. You are advised to carefully read the official terms and conditions contained below before participating in the contest. By participating and submitting your videos, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated hereunder.
The winning film will COMPETE in the competition section at the festival The Top 3 winning films will be screened at the River to River Festival in Italy in December 2017. The Top 3 Films will also get a Certificate and a trophy.
Particiapte only: Unless otherwise defined in this Agreement, the following terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them hereunder: Entry or Participating Entry or film shall mean the short film submitted for the current contest and shall include all metadata and other details related to the same. Participant shall mean the person or entity submitting the entry to the contest Pocket Films refers to the organizer of the contest, an entity with the legal name ‘Onetakemedia.com Private Limited’ and wherever applicable shall include the company, affiliates, assigns, successors, directors and employees. The Festival refers to River to River Florence Indian Film Festival or Italy. Organizers shall jointly refer to Pocket Films and the Festival. Distribution means the right granted by the Participant to Pocket Films including but not limited to exhibit, display, promote, broadcast, stream, offer for download, syndicate to third parties, sub-license, the said film through all mediums and platforms as well as the rights to monetize, exploit the same.
