About THE MISFF MISFF - Madras International Short Film Festival's main goal is to create film makers a platform to connect between fellow professionals and artists. MISFF provides the opportunity for filmmakers from all over the world to excel, and to have the best work selected and showcased in front of global audience. The MISFF concentrates to identify new and innovative films while fostering the next generation of filmmakers. It possess a strong vision to create a social change, and encourages cultural diversity and understanding between nations. We are also including and actively supporting not only the short films, but welcomes a documentary and experimental narration of films. All films will be reviewed as they are submitted, and the best in each category will be chosen to screen at the festival. A jury of industry professionals will then view the finalists and choose the winning selections. Filmmakers planning on attending should notify the film festival as soon as possible, so their names may be listed in the scheduled program at the venue where their film will be shown.

Rules & Terms

MISFF– Madras International Short Film Fest The Festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world. The Film submitter can be an individual person or an organization; Film Director or Film Producer or Production Organization. Submitter can submit as many films as they wish. The short films / Documentary / Experimental Films must have been made from the 1st January 2015 till the deadline for registration, and it is not a problem if they have been previously screened, shown on the Internet or in other festivals. The films may be in English, or in any other language with English subtitles. The organization can use the short films or the pieces from the selected films to promote them during the festival. Competition Categories: • Short Films • Documentary • Experimental Running time: All category of films are upto 59 minutes Format: All of the submitted films can participate, no matter the format. The screening will be from a specific digital file (participants will be informed about the format needed for the screening with time enough).
