Open to students enrolled at any Canadian post-secondary institution, the Western Smartphone Film Festival is London's first ever student-run smartphone film festival. It aims to challenge student filmmakers to tell a story through a different medium: the smartphone. Instagram: @wsffcanada
First prize: $500 Other prizes are given to the top 10 filmmakers.
Entrants must register by December 1st. Submitting season starts mid-December. We will tell you the theme for our festival once this starts. From this day on, you have one month to create your short film. The film must be under ten minutes, and be filmed on a smartphone. At least one member of your group must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution (e.g. university, college).
